Quadrocopter Interview at NAB 2012

Local media hero and fellow TIVA-DC member Richard Harrington (RHED Pixel) interviews the multi-rotor cinema aircraft folk at their booth at NAB 2012.  Kudos to him because Quadrocopter’s booth was outside in the hot Las Vegas desert sun.  For some reason, no one was keen on having a 6 pound helicopter flying overhead in the Vegas convention center.  These are incredible machines designed in Germany by Microkopter and have a lot of advanced flight controls including GPS autopilot, hunt and seek modes, follow target, and programmable flight paths.  It can also be used as a crane or jib by programming in hover and keep on target modes (for instance it can stay in place and keep the camera pointed at one thing even though it has to make adjustments due to wind.  They really didn’t get into the software (firmware?) that makes these things fly, but a great interview.
