Tim O’Donnell wins Ironman Brazil 2013

American Tim O’Donnell handily won the 15th edition of Ironman Brazil. Coming in at a time just over 8 hours, the challenging swim, bike, and running race was dominated by O’Donnell, who finished with a sizable lead. Home town favorite Igor Amorelli placed second, about 18 minutes behind O’Donnell. Weather throughout the race held to make it a beautiful race with a brisk breeze in the high 60s but temperature averaged in the low 70s. There was some road rash on a few cyclist as they came into transition so there may have been an accident somewhere along the bike course.
