Project Overview
Sandy Audio Visual LLC was entrusted with a comprehensive audiovisual systems integration for the Prince George’s County Wayne K. Curry Building. The objective was to design and install a state-of-the-art Crestron and Extron based control system throughout the facility.
The installation covered:
- 4 county hearing rooms
- 2 committee rooms
- A boardroom
- 30 conference rooms
- 20 executive offices
- Common areas such as a café, gymnasium, lounge
- 2 press rooms and several huddle spaces
- A full broadcast control room
- Auxiliary and broadcast meeting spaces
These spaces were interconnected via a 100+ node Dante Domain Managed digital audio network, integrated with NDI overlay fed by six NewTek TriCaster 2 Elite systems.
Key Deliverables
- Full transition from analog to digital AV and video distribution systems across three floors
- Integrated VOIP and VPL systems for hybrid and remote communications
- Procurement and integration of dozens of top-tier audiovisual brands
- End-to-end solutions including design, rack fabrication, installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
Outcome
This project brought cutting-edge AV capabilities to the county’s primary government building, enabling seamless hybrid collaboration, media broadcasting, and public service communications — setting a new standard for civic infrastructure in Maryland.
